Slow-proved sourdough pizza, baked to order in the back of one of the best pubs on the Wild Atlantic Way. A pint by the fire and a pizza to share.

Birthdays, team days, hens, stags or a gang off the Cliffs of Moher. Book ahead and we'll have it ready when you sit down.

  • Our pizzaiolo shows you how to stretch sourdough by hand
  • Top your own pizza from the topping bar
  • Our team bakes it while you watch, then you sit down to eat

Groups of 6 to 16. About 90 minutes. Book ahead.

Our story

Built by a family, for the next one.

Named after Rhys

Rhys' is named after Rhys, the youngest of the Moloney family. He has started to take a real interest in cooking and has already spent time in our bakery, learning how dough comes to life and what it takes to do simple things properly, every time.

The family opened the first Hook & Ladder in Waterford in 2013, and over the years it grew into restaurants, a central kitchen and catering across Limerick and beyond. Rhys' is how we build on that: good, honest food in the places people gather, building something that will be ready for Rhys when he's ready for it.
